Reasonable Use and Care Guidelines

Do not bend excessively

The Jazz Band is optimized to fit all limbs and joints for everybody and every body - wrap it gently, bending mainly along its length. Avoid bending across its width, wrapping too tightly, or rolling the device.

Do not stretch, pull, or tug at the device

While the Jazz Band is designed to be flexible (bending or wrapping), excessive stretching, tugging or pulling in any direction may damage the device.

Do not apply excessive, pinpointed pressure or force against the device

For example, do not kneel on the device when it’s on your knee, or lean on it when it’s on your elbow. Avoid placing heavy objects on the Jazz Band, and never step on it. However, it is okay to lay on the device when your weight is evenly distributed - for example, when you’re lying in bed with it on your back.

Keep your Jazz Band cool and avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other heat sources Like most electronic devices, the Jazz Band can overheat if exposed to strong heat sources or direct sunlight for extended periods. To ensure proper operation, avoid using it in environments above 90°F (32°C). It’s best to use the device indoors or outdoors in cool, shaded, and dry areas.

Store safely from pets

Your animals are welcome to use the Jazz Band. Many of our veterinary and equine partners use it to support recovery and manage injuries! Just keep in mind: while the device is great for animals, it’s not great as a toy. To avoid accidental chewing, tugging, or rough play, store your Jazz Band in a safe spot when not in use.

Keep out of reach of children

Little hands are curious, and the Jazz Band is definitely interesting enough to grab their attention. While it’s completely safe to use (we recommend children under 12 use the Jazz Band with adult supervision), it’s not designed to be pulled, twisted, worn as a headband, or reimagined as a spaceship control panel. To keep the device in great shape, store it somewhere children can’t easily reach.

Be aware of accidental cord disconnect

While wearing your Jazz Band, you may forget it’s on and move away from the outlet. Pulling or tugging on the cord can damage the device, even though it has a quick-disconnect plug. Always stay within reach of the power source.

Lending your Jazz Band

If you lend your Jazz Band to someone else (a very kind thing to do, by the way), please make sure they understand and follow all safety, use, and care guidelines. The Reasonable Use and Care Guidelines apply to anyone using your device.

Electrical Safety

Optical Safety

Your Jazz Band emits safe red light, near-infrared light, and magnetic signals. It is safe to use on the face, but avoid using it with open eyes. Always position the device with the white surface against your skin, keeping signals out of direct view. Near-infrared light is usually invisible, and some users may not see the red light. Follow these guidelines every time you use the device.
